Homework Policy

Homework contributes toward building responsibility, self-discipline and lifelong learning habits

My Reasons for giving homework-

Absence: to make up work missed during an excused absence

**Completion: to finish work not completed at school for which time has been given to do so in class

**Practice: to help students master specific skills which have been presented in class

**Preparation: to help students prepare for the next step in a unit or study for a quiz or test

How To Turn Work In--

Each student will have a homework folder that is labeled with thier name. The homework folder will be turned in with the the completed homework inside at the begining of each day. The homework folder is to be placed in the homework bin.

How To Get Your Homework Back-

The homework that is turned in each morning, will then be graded and returned in the homework folder at the end of the day.

What Happens When You Are Absent-

A homework log is kept for the days that are missed and each homework assignment is written down. You will collect that homework log from one of your team members. The assignments are then due the following day. If you are absent multiple days in a row, you are given the amount of days gone to complete and turn in the homework. Example- If you are absent three days, then you have three days to make up the homework that was missed.

Homework Rewards-

Each student is given a sticker at the end of the week if the homework for the entire week is turned in. The students will then place their stickers on the homework board next to their name. Once a student has recieved four stickers, they have earned a free homework pass.
